What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a safe and gentle complementary therapy which stimulates the body to heal itself.
Homeopathy has been around for over 200 years and is based on the principle of 'like treats like'. This means that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person would cure that condition in a sick person.
For example, you may have experienced cutting an onion and getting watery eyes and a stuffed up or runny nose. In homeopathy the remedy made from onion, Allium Cepa, is used to cure hay fever symptoms which are similar to what happens when we cut an onion.
Homeopaths see illness as a sign of disharmony or inner imbalance. We work on trying to resolve underlying problems rather than simply dealing with particular symptoms.
Homeopathy is recognised by the World Health Organisation and is the second most widely used system of medicine in the world.
Who uses Homeopathy?
The answer is anyone.
As homeopathy treats the individual and not the condition it can be beneficial to children as well as adults and even animals.
Homeopathy can be used by anyone for physical, mental and emotional problems.
Homeopathy aims to trigger the body's own healing mechanism to ultimately achieve health and vitality.
Homeopathy attract many people as it is a holistic therapy which is gentle, non-invasive and has no side effects.
